How To Play Family Feud With Friends

In a gathering or a party, there will surely be food and some catching up. But of course, it will be more fun with activities, so you could bond with one another. It could also be a game night. With holidays coming, there will surely be a lot. No matter what, there should be games prepared for this time.

One of the most popular games you could play is the family feud. You could have seen it on TV, and it might look simple enough. It is, but you will need enough preparation for this.

1. Have Some Categories

For you to be easier in preparing questions, you should prepare what will be the categories. If your party or gathering has a theme, you could choose something that will match it. If it is more casual, it could be something that you and your friends have the same interest.

2. Prepare Questions

After choosing a category, you would need to have questions that are actual surveys. There are two ways to get this:

a. Surveying

You could do the actual surveying yourself. You can enlist some help with this one. You could go to some communities and have some surveys with them. One example is school. If you know some students, you could ask them a favor in filling up a survey. You could also ask for permission for some clubs and ask them there. If it is your style and has the capacity to do it, you can even ask random strangers in a park or restaurant. But the easiest way to do it will be through social media.

b. Research

As said earlier, social media will be the easiest way to gather surveys. You do not even have to do some surveying yourself because there will be sites that will give you. The problem for this is that it might not be authentic and if you are looking for that, this might not be for you. Another is that some categories are harder to find than the other.

3. Prepare the Materials

After gathering all the questions, you will need some materials. This includes how you will reveal the answers. You could have some whiteboard and write all the answers then have it covered until the reveal. If you have an LCD projector, you can do them by a powerpoint. You will also need buzzer for this, and there are affordable buzzers you can buy or just be creative like having a bell or some sort.

4. Divide Teams

Then after the preparation and before playing the game, there should be teams first. You could do it ahead of time or at the moment of the game. On the game itself, it should only have five players so if the team has more, the can choose who will participate and can rotate if you choose to play more than one game.

5. Play the Game

Now it is time to play the game. Each answer should have point equivalent and whoever gets the most points in five rounds will win.
