Quick Beauty Fix: De-Clog Your Pores

I saw this on the Doctors {tv show} one day + they saw it on YouTube {I believe} so with those recommendations I had to give it a try. I haven’t bought pore strips in a while so I was due for some sort of pore cleansing treatment. And this one was super easy + worked like a charm. I’m sporting some pretty pores right now!

What You Need:

Unflavored Gelatin
Milk (I used rice milk – we don’t do animal milk- and that worked just fine}
Small glass container

What to Do:

Use one packet of the gelatin {they’re small} + empty into the glass container. Next use about 2 tablespoons of milk to mix in well. Pop it in the microwave for 10 seconds. Make sure it’s only warm before you apply. Let dry + carefully pull off.

Warning: The gelatin dries hard so remember wherever you apply it to you still need to pull it off. I only recommend using this on nose, chin and forehead area {not too close to your hairline}.

Warning {yes another one!} Do not heat more than 10 seconds. You don’t want to burn yourself.

So this photo is blurry {had to snap it + get the gelatin on my skin before it set} but you get the idea. You don’t need to make a lot at all + it should be smooth + creamy, not runny.

    Okay now this got my attention, I’ve never heard of this! I ued to use pore strips and remember seeing the grossness it dug out of pores so I could see that it worked, is this similar so if I were to try it, I’d know it worked? Also, any idea if soy milk works? That’s what I have. This is so interesting!

      I don’t know if soy milk will work but I used almond milk + it worked so I don’t see why not. And yes Mina you will see the grossness lol.

    How did it work for you? Did it work as well as pore strips?

      It actually worked better than the pore strips. You get more control over where the stickiness goes + you can’t really get that with shaped pore strips=)
