In Review: The GLOSSYBOX USA Launch

Pretty Little Things

Right now I have sitting next to me the prettiest pale pink box full of beauty loot that I’ll be working my way through carefully over the next couple of weeks. But what I can tell you about it right now is that I’m a little in love with GLOSSYBOX. They packed a bit of a punch for their US launch box. So let me get right into it, especially since I’m already using one of the products {too little sleep last night + a very long day bouncing around the pediatricians office with my kids} + it’s feeling pretty awesome!

So there is no mistaken when you get your GLOSSYBOX as you can see. And as their welcome letter states it does kind of feel like you are getting a sweet gift in the mail, ha ha from you to you but those are usually the best kind + I am the ultimate sucker for pretty prints + packaging!

The actual box that has the goodies + info is a treat in itself. The sturdy structure, pale pink color + beautiful printed inside have already inspired a reusable purpose housing some Summer accessories.

This is one of my favorite features of the box, the GLOSSYBOX Trend Guide, since it shares other beauty habits + trends from around the World.

More of the über cute packaging…

And now the product run down…..

Basq Cucumber Tea Soothing Eye Gel – Right now I’m wearing this {doing an overnight treatment} because like I said it’s been a looong day. And really I’m overjoyed at how it’s making my eyes feel.

C.O. Bigelow Lavender + Peppermint Body Lotion – I love the no-nonsense packaging but I have to say the scent seems a bit off. I don’t really get a lavender or peppermint smell out of this. Maybe more like a balmy lemon. The scent is not bad, just not what I expected. But otherwise this lotion is super moisturizing. Thanks to the mineral oil in it I could definitely see this as being used as maybe a foot lotion since mineral oil can be pore clogging.

Kryolan High Gloss Brilliant Lip Shine {Toffee} – When it comes to lip colors you have to swatch before you judge because upon first glance of this tube of gloss I saved it till nearly last since I thought the color just looked too white for my tan skin tone. But I was gladly proven wrong. The color comes out as sort of pink champagne….something you can certainly blend with a nude or berry lip liner/lipstick to create a really custom shade.

Erno Laszlo Hollywood Collection – I have not used this brand before but will gladly review once I go through these samples. This limited edition collection is described as,  “…custom blend skin care formulations inspired by our most famous and iconic devotees: Marilyn Monroe, Katharine Hepburn, Grace Kelly, Greta Garbo and Ava Gardner.”

O.P.I. Kiss Me on My Tulips – Really looking forward to using this pretty pink polish. It almost looks hot pink but isn’t quite there.

Cargo Eye Bronzer – This golden eye bronzer is the perfect shade to start + end Summer with. It blends easily + kind of just melts into your skin {yes, in a good way}.

So if you can’t tell this début box has my vote…makes me a bit curious to see what the next one will bring. Do you subscribe to any monthly beauty sample companies? Everytime I try to jump on the bandwagon it’s usually gone before it really arrives so hopefully GLOSSYBOX keeps a standard above the rest.

**While I was sent this {GLOSSYBOX} for review/consideration all thoughts, opinions are of my own making + will always remain so.
