Beauty Budget Buys: Two Cruelty-Free Essentials

There’s an art form to putting on makeup + taking it off. But it isn’t as costly as it may seem. I have 3 sets of eye makeup brushes + I still run out of brushes for certain shades like I don’t mix shimmers with mattes or lights with darks + I just expanded my color horizon recently dipping into the world of yellow. Using all of those colors between a  few brushes that I love to work with usually leaves me accidentally mixing colors. So for now I have these handy little EcoTools applicators. They cost about $3  {drugstoredotcom} + come in three different sizes varying from narrow to wide tips. I love these little applicators!

It is so super important to take of makeup at the end of the day {no matter what time exactly it is} especially when dealing with eye makeup. There’s a whole lesson on little lid bugs I could give you along with a horrific story about ending up with no lashes {I like to research, alot} but just believe me when I say you need to take it all off. Recently I ran out of my favorite remover + had to pick up an alternative. I saw this Hard Candy brand + curiosity got the best of me. And it paid off! This takes off every last wash of waterproof mascara + stained lip color I have on {read: no raccoon eyes in the morning!} It costs me about $6 at Walmart.

So those are just two of my super necessary cruelty-free cosmetic essentials. Do you have any cf {cruelty-free} products you cannot go without?

I love those brushes! Some of my favorite drug store brushes for sure. I didn’t know they were cruelty free though, super cool!

I love them Kendra! I have a mini eye shadow brush set + a full size face set from them. I love how soft they are + don’t take off makeup when I’m touching up :-)
